Monthly Webinars on the 5 Leadership Practices

Beginning February 26 LDI will be hosting monthly webinars with the theme Applying the 5 Leadership Practices to Your Project. The webinars will be held from 7:00pm-8:00pm on the following dates: February 26, March 18, April 23, and May 21. Each webinar will include a case study followed by time for discussion. Past, present and future LDI teams/individuals are encouraged to attend.

We ask that you begin signing in at 6:45pm so that we may begin the presentation promptly at 7:00pm. It is not required that you register ahead of time.

We recommend reading the directions and doing a test login (how to do this is in the directions) to make sure you have the necessary free software ahead of time. It only takes a few minutes to download if you don’t have it.

You will need
- a telephone for audio access during the webinar (a box will appear after you log in to the web conference room where you will put your telephone number and the system will call you).
- an internet connection. Go to http://episcopal.adobeconnect.com/LDI at the time of the webinar and Enter as a Guest, then type your name, and click Enter Room.

If, for some reason,you cannot have the system call you or you want to participate without web access, then call (800)832-0736 and use the ROOM NUMBER 6181665 . If you cannot make the webinar, we will post a recording of the webinar on our blog shortly afterward.

The Leadership Development Initiative hosted its third webinar in December entitled: Creating Effective Team Projects. Over 20 people from the across the diocese joined Ella Auchincloss, Executive Director of LDI, to learn how to develop a project built on community interests and achievable goals. A recording of the webinar is available.

Teams that are interested in LDI and need help with the $600 fee may apply for help with funding. Contact Karen Montagno, Director of Congregational Resources and Training.

Working on a collaborative effort across diocese? Interested in funding?

Thanks to Julie Lytle’s (Director of Province 1) help, all groups working on collaborative efforts across dioceses can apply for a Growing God’s Mission grant to help cover LDI’s $600 fee. Applications are welcome if the collaboration includes participation in LDI programs, but the grants will not be available to cover the cost of an LDI program by itself. As Julie mentioned at our Taste and See event, the LDI training around church and community development is exactly why this grant was created! If you have any questions contact Duncan Hilton.
